When Dianna Agron first made her tl;dr about gay pride and the shirt, I hadn't yet realized all I disliked about her actions. And I was going to make a blog entry about a significant event in my life as a lesbian. Then I started to find her actions problematic and I didn't want to make my lesbian-story post. Now, I'm thinking back to the story I was going to post and am reminded of exactl why I didn't like the way Dianna Agron went about doing what she did.

2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
1) What was your first fandom?
My first fandom was Harry Potter, which I'm still in and haven't even been in that long. I'm a late bloomer I guess. I got into the X-Files before HP, but I wasn't involved in fandom at all, just in my own little world.
2) What is the best advice you have ever been given?
"If someone's making your life hard to the point where you don't want to live just say fuck that person, even if it's me." This is sound advice from my mother.
3) What is your most important accomplishment to date?
It's the ongoing accomplishment of teaching myself how to play music.
4) What is your favorite snack?
homemade guacamole and homemade tortilla chips
5) What foreign country (ie, not the one you live in right now) would you most like to visit and why?
There's no place I'm dying to go to, but I guess Bolivia. A few semesters ago I did my semester paper on Evo Morales and learned a lot about Bolivia's political and social past and culture and I found it all very interesting. I would be interested in learning more about the culture, music, and food from first hand experience.

I'm off to watch Death Proof.
My brain is not consciousness. It's a computer (as in something that computes). My consciousness is the energy coming through when someone hit the "on" switch. it's like electricity. It's the power.
Consciousness = Power
Brain = Computer
Body = monitor, mouse and all that shit that happens on screen because the computer makes it happen

If all possibilities are happening at once, is that why I can sense things that I'm not experiencing? Right now I imagine the taste of pineapple over my tongue, being punched in the hip, hearing a whistled Mardi Gras song. I sense it all accurately though none of it is happening.

I'm going to do a rant calling out some dismissive bullshit that I saw yesterday on CoS forums. It might get little incoherent and there will be lots of F words. And I will be caling out one particular poster, eliza101. I usually don't call out people because 1) I'm a lazy cow 2) someone else has likely already addressed the bullshit already and 3) I don't like to hurt people's feelings even if they deserve it. But I don't care about hurting this one person's feelings, because they really really deserve it. This deals with abuse and might be triggering to some people.

So a few days ago I finished reading Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I know a lot of people hate that book (and I can understand that), but I think it might be my favorite book in the entire fucking universe (though I haven't checked the recesses of my mind yet). When I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I thought "this is the best YA book ever written." So when I went into The Hunger Games expecting to like it, but be unmoved. But I was wrong. And now I have a sad feeling that no book I ever read will be satisfying after The Hunger Games series.
Anyway, I just had to get my thoughts out. After I'm done dealing with grad school stuff I'm gonna write a long essay with all my feelings. I might even do a youtube video.
